Hmmm.  I don't get that warning.  I wonder if there's a difference
between my unistd.h (the one I included in the binary dist.) and 
yours.  Did you run a diff on the two?

That's good news.  But, I'm unsure what you mean by "greater overlapping
effects between the windows."
