Netscape 4.5 renames .gz files to .arc if you left-click the file.  Sorry for 
the false alarm, I thought I'd seen .arc on the web page names too, and 
certainly did wonder (my mistake).

For anyone else who has this trouble with Netscape, right clicking
the file works just fine, as usual.  Renaming also works, of course.

Guess it's time to track down that Diffuse2D bug for penance...  ;}
