Hello:
I just finished installing swarm 2.0 in my linux box, and as as test
ran heatbugs. Now the generated "executable" is a script file that,
after some processing, calls the real executable file in a directory
named .libs, under the working directory. I should spend more time
trying to understand by myself the reasons for this, but I can't help
to consult the ML right now :-)
There are two files in .libs approximately the same size, heatbugs and
lt-heatbugs. When I run the script heatbugs, lt-heatbugs is the one
which is executed. What is the function of the other file? Logically,
for debugging purposes with gdb, I suppose I should use lt-heatbugs,
or not?
And the script header mentions that
"(...)
# The heatbugs program cannot be directly executed until all the libtool
# libraries that it depends on are installed."
Is it strictly necessary to have the missing libraries, or I can keep
working with the system as it is now?
Thanks a lot, always!
Eiji
