Could someone tell me what is the difference between the Swarm Java Compiler, Javacswarm and the Java Compiler, Javac, with reference to compatibility issues?
javacswarm and javaswarm are just wrappers to whatever SDK and JVM that Swarm is built for. It just sets the CLASSPATH and PATH as needed. Typically Swarm is configured for jikes as a Java compiler (for speed), and Sun JVM as the runtime. On Windows, for example, uou can ignore those scripts provided you have the Swarm DLLs in the PATH and the CLASSPATH with the swarm.jar file in it.
