Yes. You need the hdf5-devel rpm as well. I'm surprised the Swarm rpm 
installed without it. Here's what I see:

$ rpm -qa | grep hdf
hdf5-devel-1.6.5-6.fc6
hdf5-1.6.5-6.fc6
