I downloaded, untarred, and changed into the directory. 
The 'configure' step went fine, no errors were reported.
However, when I did 'make', I got the following error:

making all in m4...

make: *** [all] Error 2

I don't understand Makefiles well enough to figure out what is wrong. I hope 
the output above can
help somebody more knowledgeable figure out what the problem.
