Dear Norbert,
Thanks for your patches. I have applied the first four.
Patches 05--08 are better dealt with by Massimiliano.
The last one is a bit tricky. I agree that something like this
should be done, but old documents should also be updated and
the ligature handling of -- somehow removed.
I will have to think about this longer.
