I've tried to reproduce the problem with current Tramp 2.0.54 and
Emacs 22.0.50 under Windows XP, but there is no problem here. Could
you, please, provide more details? Best would be to submit a bug
report via "M-x tramp-submit-bug", because it will add the important
information to the mail.
