Further to this when I issue a 'show-colors' command both 'default' and 'black' are the same as the 'white' line. There's no line shown that is actually black. However if I explicitly issue a ':set fcolor=0' then everything becomes correct. So at least I have a workaround, it doesn't fix the first line being the wrong color but that's a minor issue. -- Chris Green
