Actually, after a closer look, it turns out that the problem you
described is just another example of inconsistencies introduced by
Stefan's changes.  These inconsistencies can be solved two ways:
support invisible-intangible and `line-move-ignore-invisible' and get
rid of Stefan's changes _or_ deprecate the invisible-intangible
combination and get rid of `line-move-ignore-invisible'.  The changes
made by Stefan are inconsistent with having line-move-ignore-invisible
set to nil. (The default value.)  Just set line-move-ignore-invisible
to t.  The problem you described will completely disappear.
