| Me too and I don't know why that sequence is selected. Anyway how
| about adding a rule "__"->"_" (like "^^"->"^").?
|
| I tried latin-1-prefix and `_ ' did not seem to do anything special.

I tried several locale settings ($LANG: en_US, nl_BE, en_GB,
address@hidden, en_US.ISO8859-15, address@hidden,
nl_BE.ISO8859-1), and (as expected) they always returned the same
result for "_ ": an non-breaking space. With latin-9-prefix, an
underscore does not do anything special. (This does not quite
seem correct to me: the interface should be the same where the
same characters are produced - if possible.)
