Our project, Opale.Soya II, is a fast, high-leveled and OO 3D engine for Java. 
The project use GL4Java (http://www.jausoft.com/gl4java) to acces native 
OpenGL; Opale.Soya is designed with 3D game in mind.

The first version of Opale.Soya has been used in the Arkanae game 
(http://www.babeloueb.com/arkanae); it\'s a set of heavily extendable 3D 
JavaBeans.

The new version will be faster and much more powerfull, and includes :
 - A new modeling package
 - A new animation package
 - Terrain rendering and LOD
 - Reflexions and portals
 - BSP trees
 - Scripting (Jython)
 - A 3D editor
 - Support standard file formats (VRML, 3DS,...)
 - JDK 1.4 nio and fullscreen optimization
 - (Open list)
