Details:

I can't push to the gnulib git repository any more; it still worked an hour
ago.

Once I get an error:

remote: fatal: unable to generate checkdiff for ChangeLog
remote: error: hook declined to update refs/heads/master
To ssh://git.sv.gnu.org/srv/git/gnulib
 ! [remote rejected]     master -> master (hook declined)
error: failed to push some refs to
'ssh://haible@git.sv.gnu.org/srv/git/gnulib'


Another time I get a message that says "error" but is not fatal:

remote: error: The last gc run reported the following. Please correct the root
cause
remote: and remove gc.log.

remote: fatal: Out of memory, malloc failed (tried to allocate 373121 bytes)

Also, Ben Pfaff reported today:
