I installed the 2.78 version of CGI.pm and the error went away.
But it still does not work. I looked in my apache error log which says:

[Wed Oct 3 12:59:37 2001] [error] [client 158.184.22.120] Premature end of
script headers: /usr/local/apache/cgi-bin/gnatsweb.pl
Can't locate object method "splitpath" via package "File::Spec" at
/usr/perl5/5.00503/CGI/Carp.pm line 252.

Thanks

Steffen

The problem may be caused by having a too old version of the Perl module
CGI.pm, but the test script should catch that. However, this problem has
also been reported by people with the unofficial, experimental version 3.01
of CGI.pm on their systems.

I suggest you make sure that you have the latest version 2.x of CGI.pm,
currently 2.78. The homepage of CGI.pm is at http://stein.cshl.org/WWW/CGI/
and you can also find it in the CPAN archive at http://www.cpan.org

Hope this helps,
