I did the same (almost): removed everything previously installed (including

Run it, it starts up with 2d board playing counter-cw, with cube on the
left side. Switching to cw puts the cube on the right side, that's ok.
Now (still in cw direction), using 3d board the cube is on the right,
but switching the playing direction does not put it on the left, it stays
on the right side of the board.
The edit thing seems to work fine: clowwise I have to cick on the right
side, counter-cw I have to click on the left side. The issue seems to
be just the cube drawing.
MaX.
>From scratch (no previous gnubgautorc) mine comes up in 2D, counter clockwise. I click the “Direction” icon, and cube moves to the right (and table flips). Now I am clockwise. I go to Settings/Appearance select 3d board. Board appears as 3d cube on the right side and still playing clockwise. I hit the “Direction” icon and the table flips and the cube is now on the left.
