I am posting to this news group because I am a user, interested in where this is going, and was planning on contributing something to it.

I am currently tied up with somethings, but already spent some time looking at the source code for the base framework. From that effort I started writing some documentation of the implementation. Surely something that could be of use to newcomers. That said I am attaching those documents (made with docbook tags).
You can do whatever you want with it, but would appreciate some criticism.

I, personally, think a slogan is nice, but it is certainly not all we need.
We need everything that has been discussed on the ML over the past few days:

1) Newer theme
2) More apps
3) Improved website (a planet, perhaps, that will help us draw attention.)
4) Better exposure
5) Inclusion in more distros and, yes...
6) A slogan

In roughly that order. All of these are things that will get us noticed a
little more. Individually, they may not mean much... but, together, they could
help immensely.

2) A nice slogan is good, but that's not really what we lack or need
most, is it ? I mean if the recent effort put into that discussion
 was
spent on the website, it would have been a bit more effective ;-)
 [not
throwing rocks to anybody, I'm the first to not have time at the
moment to work on gnustep]

Heck yes.
