arch + ant = works fine.
arch + autotools = works fine.
arch + package-framework = works fine.

Things to beware of are the same as with other RCS systems: generated
files that may be different on different systems: .o, makefiles,
makefile.in's for automake, .d, html etc output from doc generators
..... shouldn't be included in development branches as they cause
spurious conflicts, but are safe to include in 'production' branches
where the goal is to let end users get a 'full system' from checkout /
get ...
