But leaving the former out would cause great grief for sites (like mine) 
that support Kerberos. Likewise, XFace is just plain nifty, and it's 
small and cheap -- why make everyone who doesn't recompile their 
packages do without?

If you want your system to have nothing but what you use, stop 
complaining and go get Gentoo.
