Vulture capitalists are individuals who will pay you to kill off your
business. That's an accurate description of what they do. Trying to
direct anything at them which assumes that any given business is
worthwhile existing is foolish and misplaced.

VC is a way to make money. That's all it's meant to do and all it's
good for. It makes money by consuming businesses. When you take VC
money to start a business, you're basically agreeing that in a couple
of years, the VC is going to asset-strip your business, assuming it's
still around. That generally means chopping it up into pieces and
selling it to the incumbent companies, who will proceed to kill it
off. A handful survive this process, most don't.

Completely the wrong place to be directing any notion of improving
society or technology. They are not interested.
