left repeat bar

Hello,

why isn't there a left repeat bar next to the F when I typeset this:


voice =
    \notes                      
    \relative c' {      
                c4 d e f 

                \repeat volta 2 {
                        d e f g                 
                }
                a1              
        }
        



I want to repeat "d e f g" and not "c d e f d e f g".  I tried to
manually add such a bar with \bar "|:"; but that doesn't work.


#lilypond -v
GNU LilyPond 1.3.24.
