Many thanks for your help.

Ok; I'm quite sure to launch "./configure" then "make" from inside the
directory igraph-0.4.2, but it does (seem to) work only when I launch make
and make install in igraph-0.4.2/src.

I've used it and it works fine. This install only the compiled igraph
library, not the R package isn't it? When I try to install the R package

It still output the same error message, which seems close to the error
with configure/make: it begins with "cd: src: no file or directory of this
type" (I translate the localized error message).

Is there a way of installing the R package whithout having it trying to
compile the igraph library, if it is an acceptable solution?

Many thanks!
