I'd be up for some reviewing. I'm still new enough at LilyPond that
I'd learn a lot from some 'assigned readings' and I could probably
tell if they make sense to someone that doesn't compile their own
LilyPond binaries over breakfast.

OK, that's good. NR 1.5 Simultaneous is the first
section not yet reviewed. AFAIK you don't have
access to git? That's not a problem, but you will
need to pull the source files from Savannah. Do
you know how to do this? If not, ask me off list
and I'll give you directions.

Why does a reviewer need to pull source files from git? Can't (shouldn't)
the reviewer do the final review on the docs themselves?

Well, it seems a lot easier to correct typos and
other minor blemishes that way than to relay them
to a third party for them to correct. I certainly
don't fancy editing in such trivial changes for
other people - I could just as well do the reviewing
myself. People on the doc team are familiar with
editing source after all. I would not advocate this
for people not on the doc team though. But of course
the actual reading is done on the docs themselves,
ideally both html and pdf.
