[lmi] MinGW runtime md5sum fails

I'm upgrading gcc to 3.4.5, but it gets stuck at the
md5sum check and produces this error message:

cd . && echo "31520c8cce50eae09021f560cbf1485b
*mingwrt-3.15.2-mingw32-dev.tar.gz" |
md5sum --check
mingwrt-3.15.2-mingw32-dev.tar.gz: FAILED
md5sum: WARNING: 1 of 1 computed checksum did NOT match
make: *** [mingwrt-3.15.2-mingw32-dev.tar.gz] Error 1

This is the md5sum that I generated for that file:

/tmp[2]$md5sum mingwrt-3.15.2-mingw32-dev.tar.gz
f24d63744af66b54547223bd5476b8f0 *mingwrt-3.15.2-mingw32-dev.tar.gz

Of course, I can get myself unstuck for the moment, but
my way doesn't guarantee correctness. The download site
I'm using to retrieve the archive is this:
  http://downloads.sourceforge.net/mingw/mingwrt-3.15.2-mingw32-dev.tar.gz

And I confirmed the md5sum in 'install_mingw.make' is valid
by googling for it and the archive's name:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft%3A*&q=31520c8cce50eae09021f560cbf1485b+mingwrt-3.15.2-mingw32-dev.tar.gz

What I can't determine is why I have a different outcome;
I haven't seen this one before.
