For the message
  http://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/tlf-devel/2014-05/msg00014.html
  address@hidden
  31 May 2014 03:12:34

I see this in /var/log/exim4/mainlog-20140531.bz2:
  2014-05-31 03:12:35 [2151] 1WqdT1-0000Yh-0C <=
  address@hidden H=localhost
  (lists.gnu.org) [::1]:58355 I=[::1]:25 P=esmtp S=4531
  address@hidden T="[Tlf-devel] New options in
  logcfg.dat" from <address@hidden>
  for address@hidden

Next, looking for 1WqdT1-0000Yh-0C, I further see:

mainlog-20140531.bz2:2014-05-31 03:12:35 [2167] cwd=/spool/exim4 3 args:
/usr/sbin/exim4 -Mc 1WqdT1-0000Yh-0C
mainlog-20140531.bz2:2014-05-31 03:12:35 [2167] 1WqdT1-0000Yh-0C =>
address@hidden F=<address@hidden> P=<address@hidden> R=dnslookup T=remote_smtp
S=4614 H=gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com [2607:f8b0:400d:c04::1b]:25
X=TLS1.0:RSA_ARCFOUR_SHA1:16 CV=no DN="C=US,ST=California,L=Mountain
View,O=Google Inc,CN=mx.google.com" C="250 2.0.0 OK 1401520355

mainlog-20140531.bz2:2014-05-31 03:12:35 [2167] 1WqdT1-0000Yh-0C Completed QT=0s

We aren't exim people and didn't set up the mail system (the FSF did),
but this seems to pretty indicate that the message was successfully
delivered to google (250 OK).

Furthermore, the Message-Id: does not show up in any error log I can
find. I saw no indications of failure in the mailman logs. And it is
certainly not the case that messages to gmail are failing in general.

So, I'm stymied. If you think there is more to look at on the gnu side,
please ask address@hidden

Sorry,
karl
