Besides providing a $(PKG)_UPDATE script, I had to perform the
following corrections:

    1) add missing dependency: "zlib"
    2) split $(MAKE) into a parallel build and a non-parallel install
    3) add the ./configure flags "--disable-test" and "--disable-docs"
    4) remove an unwanted TAB character
