Thanks for the quick reply, Mark.  Looks like the Mac OS X / MacPorts
requirements section needs to be updated (at
http://mingw-cross-env.nongnu.org/#requirements-macos) to include an
xz program.  However, installing xz-devel, which provides xz, is not
trival, as it requires the 'force' argument to port due to some
conflict with other lzma packages.  Any ideas on a less-shakey way of
installing the xz requirement on OS X?
