[Mldonkey-users] Problems with popular files!

Hi all,

i found a problem with the newest CVS Version (2002/10/05). This version 
seems to have a problem with very popular files. I just added 2 popular files 
to the download queue. Within 30 minutes i got a very big number of sources 
for the files (over 10000 sources). Mldonkey connects to 400-700 of these 
sources but availability of the files always is < 10%..
In this moment, mldonkey eats up over 70% of my CPU power (K6-II 400 Mhz).
Even the gui (i run it on another computer [1.1 GHz]) seems to slow down. 
Sometimes it takes up to 4 seconds for a gui element to mention a mouse 
click. I think it is heavy traffic from the core that makes the gui slow. 
These files never start downloading... I tried this with very many different 
files... Older CVS version doesn't seem to have such problems with popular 
files.
The output of the core seems to look very normal... I only get lots of: 
"UNKNOWN: opcode 18" messages, but this seems to be okay, as i read on the 
list. The only interesting output are lines that look like:

NEXT TRY TOO LONG: 388.29 (00:54  Thu 10 Oct 2002)

What does this message mean? There are very many of the messages! After 
running mldonkey for only 4 hours i got:

$ grep "NEXT TRY TOO LONG" mld.log | wc -l
  28039

Has this something to do with my problems? Does anyone else got the same 
probs?
