AFAIK Windows doesn't really have anything close to symlinks (natively).

It has hardlinks, but only on NTFS.
It has "shortcuts", that are symlink-like but only as far as a
double-click in Explorer goes. If you open(2) them you get their
content, not the content of the file they point to (except if you're
using Cygwin, as Cygwin uses windows shortcuts to implement symlinks).

PS: I don't know about SFU, but even if it did emulate them, they
wouldn't work using plain "native" processes anyway, I guess.
