Follow-up Comment #5, bug #48474 (project octave): It's seems like a gnuplot 5.0.3 bug. test the script: set term windows set label "a_b" at 0.5,0.5 textcolor rgb "#ff0000"; set label "ab" at 0.25,0.25 textcolor rgb "#ff0000"; plot sin(x) In gnuplot: In ver 5.0.3 the first label is black, and the second is red.
