Thanks for the new patch, now double-clicking a cell containing an array as
outlined in comment #22 does open a new tab.

The focus issues are still there, in spit of Torsten's fix, in short:
Tabs dragged outside an undocked VE pane get hidden when the VE looses focus
and pop up again when it gets its focus back. The VE pane itself remains
visible as far as it isn't overlapped by a window with focus.
