CVS links?

John,

I like to link directly into the octave CVS tree on occasion
(e.g., from the categorical index on octave-forge, but also
when giving examples on the wiki).  Unfortunately, all the
links are broken (again).

Is there some way to do this that is both concise and stable?
Or is this just a bad idea?

Ideally the link would be http://www.octave.org/cvs/ followed
by the location in the octave tree.  Appending #function to
jump to the function definition would be wonderful, but much
more work.
