Well, it looks like either the C preprocessor isn't working right or
maybe sed.  I'm not inclined to ponder the things that could wrong if
it isn't installed in /opt/SDGgcc/2.95.2.

Also, HDF5 1.4.2 compiled fine for me, so that makes me more suspicious.
