Swarm on MacOS X

Hi,

About a month or so ago there was some discussion regarding a port of
Swarm to MacOS X. As a non-hacker, my impression is that
there are still significant hurdles to using Swarm on MacOS X. Is this
correct ?
I am considering buying a Mac, not specifically for using Swarm, but I
wonder how close (or how far !) a Swarm port may be, if at all.

Would it be fair to say at this stage that there is no imminent solution
(ie: don't hold my breath !) ?
