Solaris is a bit of problem for us, bause none of us actually has
access to Solaris machines on regular basis for us to check and/or
build on Solaris. The best I can suggest is look through the mailing
list archives, there have been some recent attempts to build it (and
at least one successfull one on Solaris 2.8).

Right now we have no staff or resources to maintain Swarm, although we
are looking for more funding sources. Essentially, maintanance of
Swarm is on a volunteer basis only at this time. Also joining as a
member, would also help us greatly (e-mail Paul Johnson at
address@hidden for more details).

We are looking for somebody to be our "Solaris" porter/tester, if
you'd like to volunteer, we'd be more than happy to have you aboard!

In terms of Linux: if you want to try the Swarm snapshots under Red
Hat Linux, Paul Johnson has RPMs that work with 7.3 (and possibly
7.2), but 7.1 is getting a bit long in the tooth for Paul to continue
support it (with the current snapshots at least):
