[XBoard-devel] release of 4.4.0

Hi

I tagged 4.4.0 and uploaded a tarball to the ftp-server 
(http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/xboard/) together with a README (which contains the 
NEWS part about 4.4.0).

HGM will build the windows installer today and upload to his webpage. I'll send 
out announcments to various lists once we have the windows installer up and 
also update the webpage, etc. This should happend either later today or 
tomorrow. 

I'll send out another list once that's done, so that people can double check...
