That sounds scary, if bibledit starts to automatically transfers content 
from one project to another! But...

Most likely this was the cause. If both projects point to the same 
repository, then they'll get the same data after a short while. E.g. if 
project A points to git://localhost/crossreferences, and project B also 
to git://localhost/crossreferences, then after the git update is done, 
usually after one minute, the data of both projects will be the same.

The danger is here that there are options that can be set that cause 
this. If these settings as described above are not made, then everything 
should be fine.

In menu Preferences / Features, the git settings can be made 
inaccessible for the user, and a password can be set on it. If that is 
done, the user can't touch the git settings, and there won't be any 
danger that data of two projects gets unified.
