 Another aspect of this might be that Windows stores system time 
differently than Linux. A machine that has Win installed first, dual 
booting to Linux, uses the Win method; a machine with a clean Linux 
install as primary uses the Linux method.

Write to the linuxuser group for advice on how to set your system time 
to match theirs; sorry, I don't remember.
