The file is set up as a standalone file and not as an addition to the
AUCTeX manual.  My impression was that it should be the latter.  Is this
not the case anymore?

You named yourself as the copyright owner.  Would you be willing to
assign the copyright to the FSF?

The section "Which AucTeX (sic!) function (sic!) do not work well with
Texinfo" is not something I would put in there.  I'd rather add those
points to the todo list of AUCTeX.

And the program we are concerned with is spelled "AUCTeX", not "AucTeX".
