I think this is a good idea, but I think we should make this change optional. *What do the users think about this? Please join the discussion?*
As a user I agree it should be optional - I personally find two lines simpler to follow when my brain is already tangled up recalling where keys are, which finger to use, before activating under-used muscles to then actually press the keys.
