Only if you actually get involved in a project using it.

Learning another VCS just for the sake of it is surely not worth the
time. The only major advantage of Mercurial over Git seems to be that
it's easier to grasp initially (at least for people coming from CVS/SVN)
-- and as you already know Git fairly well, there is nothing to win
there for you...
