They are all over in the user forums. See above for one reference
(qtparted forums). I've seen such reports "everywhere", maybe they were
all with qtparted, maybe not, I really don't remember.

Hmm, actually I'm a bit confused. There is reiserfsprogs and
progsreiserfs, right? From the naming I can't figure out what's 
the difference between them. Seems to be two different 
implementations from the same company? 

What I've meant was a recent reiserfsprogs with fixes like:

  - fix for shrinking the filesystem;
  - fix in mount entry detection code;
  - fix for the new fs size calculation in resizer;
  - fix for parsing the new fs size parameter correctly in resizer;
  - fix for checking if the new fs size is correct in resizer;
  - fix for handling the very last block on the device if formatted on pass2.

Some of them can cause trashed fs.
