Import submenu sounds fine.

1) I remember one bug: Import/Open does only look for case sensitive 
extensions. 
.MIDI is not recognised, .MID does not work either. 

2) What about export to wave/ogg/flac/mp3... Any news here?

3) Maybe you could have a look at importing file to tabs? Currently the tab 
name is wrong. Denemo changes the first tab-name, not the active one.
