Without a proper GNUstep developer room it wont be worthwhile for
me to show up otherwise. I spend most of last years FOSDEM sitting
behind our stall and found this rather boring.

(I was rather shocked by this one! ;-/)
Well, this is obviously the opinion of one person during discussion
and not a final consensus of the community.
Who said 'no one wants to have a booth'?
If you depart at FFM at 11:00, you won't make it in time to the booth:

* depart by car sharing on Saturday at approx. 10:00 or 11:00 towards
Brussels.

I think its pretty much obvious that you need to arive at Friday or
in the early morning if you want to setup a decent representation.
Hm. What are you doing from Friday to Saturday 14:00 for setup witout
a room to do that. My erxperience from previous years is that if you
arrive before 12:00 you have no chance to do anything. And, placing
prepared (!) devices and setups, some T-shirts, CDs on the table and
some prepared (!) posters on the wall doesn't take more than 30
minutes. It is a matter of planning.
And: the distance from Frankfurt to Brussels is approx. 400km.
Depending on traffic, you can do that in 3-4 hours. Therefore my
estimate 10-11. Could have been 9-10. Or 8.9 if one thinks he needs
more time. But this is (fortunately) no longer relvant since the Pre-
FOSDEM meeting is in Brussels.
---snip---
* return on Sunday late afternoon to Frankfurt
---snap---
Not sure what late afternoon is, but FOSDEM closes at 18:00 (AFAIK).
In the last years, it was officially closed at 18:00 but after 16:00
most booths had been vacant and cleared up.
Anyways, I think we are set with Lars and Nicola tending the booth ;-)
Great. Please make a note in the Wiki for planning purposes.
I think there will also be other presentations.
I have some plans to show QuantumSTEP on Zaurus and OpenMoko plus a
Debian MiniPC. Riccardo might want to show GNUstep on BSD. So we
probably don't have enough space for everybody...
And, since there is no devroom, people will not run back and forth
between the booth and their presentations.
