      You disagree with the
    reasoning for BSD-style licensing because they do not believe in
    keeping software free.  I agree with that.  However, you don't
    say they are bad for this, do you?

I never say that releasing software under one of the BSD licenses is
doing something bad.  It is free software, so it is basically a good
thing.  What I say is that they could do better.

(The term "BSD-style" should be avoided, because there are significant
differences between the various BSD licenses.)

      I just don't
    think we should be degrading Linus--I don't think he's anti-FSF,

Linus Torvalds develops non-free software, and by using Bitkeeper he
is both encouraging and pressuring other free software developers to
use it too.  He is a bad influence on the community, and should not be
considered a leader.
