My apologies, I had a 1X dvd-r disk :(

If I don't use the -dao option, it fails with trying to use tao. This is
my first run with 'dvdrecord' I have been using 'cdrecord-prodvd' and I
don't recall having to specify this option. The default in 'cdrecord' is
'dao' so I was wondering where this option might be coming from. The
README mentions a '/etc/dvdrecord.conf' file, which I don't have on my
system.

TIA
