    If there is no way to contact Emacs anymore, that would seem like a
    sensible default once Emacs is idling.

Just closing the connections and frames should not immediately cause
an exit, not while a Lisp program is still running.  However, if Emacs
has no net connections and no frames, and returns to the main loop,
perhaps then it should exit.
