I don't see any remedy that would address your problem, namely that
you don't understand what you are doing and can't be bothered to read
up on it.

The discussion about the release branch has been going on for months
now.  What do you think people are talking about?

Maybe you are right, but I think we would move forward better if you tried to see things from my point of view.
