No text terminal can support all the key combinations a GUI display
can.  Many terminals don't support C-<left> either (xterm is one such
prominent example).

So this shouldn't prevent you from using this console.

Why not?  The Linux console is abysmally inadequate for Emacs, from
where I stand.
