Please note that Qsynth-0.3.4 and fluidsynth-1.1.3 work fine with *all  
the same soundfonts*.

the package contains fluidsynth from SVN-trunk and other bleeding edge libraries (gettext 0.18.1.1, glib/gthread 2.28.5, Qt 4.7). There may be a bug in any of these components. Hard to say with the data of your report.

The app does not crash so there is no backtrace. 

What is the console output on your machine when you run qsynth-0.3.6 ?

I had posted the console output of my machine in my message posted on this list on the 10th. Here is another one:

You should be able to take it from here, I imagine

Have you tried qsynth-0.3.6 on another Intel machine besides yours ? 

The other Mac users on this list are also urged to report their experiences :-)
