Sorry, I've misscopied the command line. Should be

fluidsynth -a pulseaudio -m alsa_raw -g 10 -r 48000  /usr/share/sounds/sf3/
default-GM.sf3

it gives

ALSA lib rawmidi_hw.c:235:(snd_rawmidi_hw_open) open /dev/snd/midiC0D0 failed: 
No such file or directory

ls /dev/snd/midi*

shows.

 /dev/snd/midiC1D0

Passing anything sensible to -p arg does not help, and does not affect error 
message. 

crearing symlink /dev/snd/midiC0D0 ->/dev/snd/midiC1D0 helps.
